Cultural managers work on all levels of the cultural field, from ministries to business. The professional skills consist not only of knowledge about culture and different fields of art but also good communication and media skills.

Cultural Manager (Bachelor's degree)

The Cultural Management degree programme takes four years and consists of 240 credit points, the graduates receiving the title Cultural Manager.

The degree programme trains production personnel for cultural duties in private, public and third sector organisations and productions.

Students will learn about various cultural phenomena, cultural funding and financial management, marketing and public relations, legal issues, leadership and group skills, international matters, entrepreneurship, communications and media skills, production processes of cultural productions, cultural research methods and computer applications.

The studies consist of alternative and elective studies, practical training and a final project. Students have a personal study plan to help them deepen their studies in various production sectors and cultural fields.

Tuition and working language of the degree programme is Finnish. International Module in English is offered for incoming exchange students in August - December each year.

The teaching takes place in Hämeentie 135 D, 00560 Helsinki.
