Empowering Dreams: My Journey Through Metropolia Business Informatics

Yi tells about her studies:
“Two years ago, I came across an alumni story about Metropolia Business Informatics in the Helsinki Times. At that time, I was considering applying for a Master’s degree programme. One statement stood out: “All the teachers and staff are very supportive. We received comprehensive guidance on our academic journey.” I thoroughly researched the programme's curriculum and reviewed alumni testimonials. Without any hesitation, I decided to apply.
The core studies in the Metropolia Business Informatics programme cover a comprehensive range of subjects. These include ”Applied Strategic Management”, ”Business Modelling and Competitive Environment”, ”Applied Business Analytics”, ”Project Management”, ”Circular Economy”, and ”Digital Sales and Marketing Automation”. Each course is designed to provide a deep understanding of the critical areas essential for modern business professionals. The programme's core value is to empower students with the necessary expertise to thrive in the digital era and address contemporary business challenges from both strategic and innovative perspectives.
Additionally, the programme places a strong emphasis on quantitative analytics, equipping us with the skills needed to analyze and interpret complex data in a data-driven business world. By the end of the programme, we are not only equipped with theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that can be directly applied in the workplace.
But what I appreciate most is the practical, easy-to-follow 7-GATE approach to completing a Master’s thesis. This method simplifies the most challenging part of a Master’s journey — the thesis. This approach provides concrete knowledge to help us complete our thesis successfully. While the thesis journey is challenging, it is also filled with joy and enriching experiences. Ultimately, we are empowered with the competence to design and lead research projects effectively.
