The Validation Pathway of Health Care Professionals Project develops and offers additional studies for bioanalysts, physiotherapists, midwives, radiographers and nurses with a Bachelor's degree from abroad and who have applied for a right to practice in Finland from National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira).
The project also offers career and educational guidance to immigrants with a higher education in the field and increases the knowledge about qualification opportunities in Finland. The project works closely with employers to increase qualification and career opportunities for foreign health professionals and to promote study opportunities.
Project goals
- offer foreign graduates of Bachelor's degree bioanalyst, physiotherapist, midwife, radiologist and nurse the opportunity for additional studies and internships required for qualification
- to increase the availability of qualified and skilled labor for jobs in the health sector in areas with a shortage of labour
- to increase the opportunities for immigrants to get work in Finland which is equivalent to education
Funding period
The project will be implemented between 30 June 2022 and 31 December 2024.
