Good Hygiene – Improving Skills and Hospital Practices of Healthcare Professionals to Prevent Maternal and Neonatal Infections in Benin
Poor hygiene in healthcare facilities contributes to maternal and neonatal infections that are a major cause of mortality and morbidity in Benin. Healthcare workers not following good hygiene practices, allow multidrug-resistant bacteria to spread in hospitals and cause infections.
The Mimin project promotes good hygiene among the healthcare workers and in communities by modernizing the training of healthcare professionals, providing continuing education in higher education institutions and encouraging local solutions to improve hygiene practices.
