GEMINI - Greening European Mobility through Cascading Innovation Initiatives - is an international project aimed at developing sustainable mobility across Europe, with 43 partners and 8 cities testbeds. It is funded by the European Union and coordinated by the Urban Electric Mobility Initiative (UEMI).
GEMINI Suomi, based in Finland, will begin testing mobility solutions in the Helsinki region in 2025. The goal is to enhance travel connections and improve public transportation availability between Helsinki and surrounding areas such as Raasepori and Karkkila.
Through these trials, GEMINI will develop and test sustainable business models for New Mobility Services (NMS). Local communities are engaged in co-creating, developing, and adopting promising mobility solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly, sustainable, and financially viable.
The project runs from June 1, 2023, to November 31, 2026. Finnish partners in this initiative include Forum Virium Helsinki and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Ltd.

We’re hosting a Transportation workshop to design a new on-demand bus service pilot for Fiskars, and your insights will help to shape how it works. This is your chance to ensure that the service truly meets the needs of those who live and move around here every day.

This interactive session will be a space to share ideas, map out needs, and explore practical solutions together. No prior experience needed—just your local knowledge and opinions!
👉 The main language of the event is Finnish, but group discussions can also be held in Swedish and English to ensure everyone can participate comfortably.
Light refreshments will be provided, as well as a children’s corner with colouring books, should you decide to bring along your little ones.

Tämä on tilaisuutesi varmistaa, että Karkkila on etulinjassa kokeilemassa uusia palveluja jotka vastaavat täällä asuvien ja liikkuvien tarpeita.
Pienille ideanikkareille löytyy työpajassa teemanmukainen oma piirustuspiste. Työpajassa tarjotaan myös kevyttä iltapalaa.
