GEMINI is an international project with 43 partners and eight cities as testbeds. It is coordinated by the Urban Electric Mobility Initiative (UEMI). The project is funded by the European Union.
It develops sustainable mobility solutions and services. These will be tested in two phases. In the first phase, in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Munich and Turin, and in the second phase in Helsinki, Ljubljana, Paris and Porto.
The project will run from 1.6.2023 to 31.11.2026, with trials in Finland starting in 2025.
The aim of the Finnish (Helsinki Region) trials is to improve travel chains and the availability of public transport between Helsinki and the surrounding areas.
The Finnish partners in the project are Forum Virium Helsinki and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Ltd.
