Garage Club

Garage Club is a social community made by students of different academic fields to work on their hobbies and take part in activities and competitions focused about autonomous robotics and technology, artificial intelligence and internet of things (AI & IoT), indoor and outdoor mobile robotics, and drones.

Garage Club is a place for students to meet each other, socialize, and spend time together. Students voluntarily participate on a variety of their own projects or innovation projects whether it is for their personal interests or for completing their academic courses.

Garage Club offers a possibility for students to work more hands-on on their projects giving them the chance to gain more experience and knowledge related to their interests no matter if it was for programming and coding or for mechanics, automation, and electronics.

The club is part of Robo Garage and AIoT Garage which are two platforms of Metropolia’s collaboration platforms, which mainly focuses on Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning technologies.

Projects

MetroJoe

MetroJoe

MetroJoe is one of Garage Club Platforms, were a group of students from a variety of educational fields are working on developing a MARS Rover style robot. Working on this platform gives students the chance to participate in world wide competitions. Students are able to present their work, learn and explore other competitors, socialize and expand their network and knowledge towards mobile robotics.

Don't hesitate to come and join the students and be a part of our MetroJoe Platform!
