Who are you and what are you studying?
I'm Katya Kuznetcova, a first-year European Business Administration student. Originally from Russia, I moved to Finland five years ago to pursue the International Baccalaureate Programme in Lahti.
I started my studies in August. The name of my programme is European Business Administration. This programme provides insights into how the economy, markets, and business function in Europe, with a particular focus on the Nordic region.
How did you end up studying European Business Administration? What is your dream career?
I chose to study at EBA, because I have a passion for entrepreneurship and one day, I want to start my own company. I'm especially drawn to Europe, which is why I didn't opt for an International Business Degree, as it seemed too broad for my interests.
My dream career is to become an entrepreneur. I will not say in what field and what kind of business I want to set up, because I don't want my ideas to get stolen!
What inspires you in your studies in Metropolia?
What excites me most about my university experience at Metropolia is the international environment. My classmates are all over the world and I can get to know many different cultures that I am interested in. It's not just my classmates; our professors, hailing from different corners of the globe, also contribute to this multicultural experience.
What is your favorite place in campus? How about in Helsinki?
I attend the Myyrmäki campus, and my top spot there is definitely the library as it has an extensive collection of textbooks and books. In Helsinki, my favorite place is the Eira district, largely due to its architecture, making it a perfect location for photo walks.
What do you do in your free time?
My hobbies are running, architecture, interior design, photography, climbing, exploring new places, visiting galleries, museums, and art events. Whenever I have free time, I do something from this list!
