Who are you and what are you studying?I’m Catherine Gallego, a third-year Bachelor of Business Administration student and I was born and raised here in Helsinki, Finland.
My degree programme is BBA, majoring in financial management, and I study it in Finnish on Myyrmäki campus. My studies started in August 2021.
The financial side of business has always piqued my interest and I believe these studies will guide me to the right direction of possibly becoming an entrepreneur. And what other place than around fellow business students can I find like minded people!
My dream career is to work as a financial management professional in my own companies (yes, plural). The experiences I’ve had cumulated to a handy set of skills and knowledge of the entrepreneurial world which gives me confidence to pursue such dreams.
The sheer enthusiasm for innovation I see around me inspires me to go forward to what I want for my future. Definitely the guidance and support I get from my professors and colleagues help me stay on track.
As of now, my favourite place in my campus, Myyrmäki, is the METKA and student association offices. They’ve had a major cleanup recently and I’ve been a part of making them more homey.
On my free time I like to travel and spend time with people close to me. Also, in my extracurricular activities I work as a student active in a few roles, such as a student ambassador!
