Who are you and what are you studying?Hello! My name is Angela Baluyot, and I am a 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing Student. I was born and raised in the Philippines but now permanently reside in Finland.
I was accepted into several universities in the metropolitan area, but Metropolia was first on my list therefore was the obvious and easy choice for me. I heard a lot of good things about Metropolia while I was applying and the cherry on top was that I really like the beautiful campus and it is easily accessible. I applied for Nursing because I have always known that I want to work in the healthcare field. In the future after I graduate, I would like to work in a surgical setting.
I have several favourite places in the campus. I like the 6th floor terrace. It´s a place where you can study, hang out, eat, and look at beautiful scenery. I also like the clinical lab classrooms where it is filled with actual medical equipment that you can find in hospital. One of my favourite places is also the gym and sports hall where you can work out and play indoor sports such as badminton which I enjoy a lot.
My favourite place in Helsinki would be anywhere by the sea! So Eiranranta for example is a really nice place for a stroll.
On my free time I like to read books, both fiction and non-fiction. I also like going to the gym, hanging out with friends, visiting and discovering places such as coffee shops and museums, and watching sports.
