International Weeks, Projects and Intensive Programmes
Metropolia Business School organises an International Project Week every spring semester. The topic of the IPW is Business Ethics, and the course lecturers are teachers from partner institutions of the Business School. Health Care, Rehabilitation and Social Services organises an International Week every spring semester. The programme includes workshops and seminars for students and staff. The aim of the week is to exchange knowledge, experiences and ideas as well as to create inspiring networks.
In addition, many degree programmes in Metropolia organise collaborative courses, international projects and intensive programmes with international partners. These are usually limited to certain degree programmes and will be announced separately to partner institutions.
Summer Schools
In the field of technology, the Degree Programme in Information and Communications Technology organises every August the ICT Summer School with international lecturers before the start of the academic year. The courses are taught in English. The tuition of the ICT Summer School is free of charge for students from Metropolia’s partner institutions.
In the field of business, a Master's Summer School is designed for master level students.
Metropolia also organises the Professional Summer School with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science and Laurea University of Applied Science. The Professional Summer School is held in August.
Intensive Courses
Many of Metropolia’s degree programmes also organise intensive courses in which students and/or staff from partner institutions join Metropolia for an intensive international programme. These programmes are usually funded by project funding of e.g. Erasmus+ and Nordplus.
Some intensive programmes are multidisciplinary, and enable students from different degree programmes to participate. Hundreds of students have had the chance to take part in these versatile programmes. More information can be obtained from the degree programmes.
