Soili Sinervä-Laine: Procurement program provided a flexible way to study alongside work and family life
Soili Sinervä-Laine works as Head of Sourcing and Vendor Management in the indirect sourcing of a big Finnish retail group. She has worked in operational, tactical, and strategic procurement for 20 years across various industries, including manufacturing and logistics.
– To deepen my expertise, I wanted to pursue an Master's Degree in procurement at Metropolia. The program provided a flexible way to study alongside work and family life. The studies were easy to adapt to my personal life and circumstances, Soili says.
According to Soili, the Master's Degree in Procurement offered new perspectives, tools, and skills to drive comprehensive development in procurement and thus expanded her ways of thinking.
– One of the program’s greatest strengths was the opportunity to engage myself in discussions with other students. These discussions provided practical and objective support for challenges and development needs at work and in academic settings.
Soili recommends the Procurement Master´s program to both newcomers and more experienced in the field of procurement. She thinks that the studies support each and everyone´s professional growth in a flexible and individualized way.
