All the speakers will tell their career story – how did they get into the point where they are now in their career. In panel discussion with KIRAHub students will discuss with built environment companies and what kind of possibilities students will have in the construction field in the future.

Keynote: Pontus Kihlman
Pontus has worked for over two decades with developing the built environment industry, advancing business innovation, operational excellence and transformational change in both technologies, processes and organizational cultures.
His career has covered all phases of construction and urban development, to property and facility management, as well as developing user experience through workplace development and proptech. Currently he works in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as an RDI expert of the built environment.
Andrea Patanè
Andrea Patanè works as a project coordinator in UrbanFarmLab, which is an urban indoor food platform in Metropolia UAS. There Andrea pilots, tests, and prototypes new technological and digital urban indoor farming solutions.
Andrea is also a Metropolia alumni who has studied Environmental Engineering at Metropolia UAS. Andrea will gladly chat about urban farming, vertical farming and circular economy in indoor greenhouses.
Anita Ahlstrand
Anita, who works as Research and Development Manager in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Futureproof Health and Wellbeing Innovation Hub, knows how to co-create in a transdisciplinary RDIL-partnership.

This November RADIAL and TITAN projects host RAKSA AI Innovation challenge (November 12 to November 28, 2024), whose aim is to unite professionals from the construction industry with multidisciplinary student teams to collaboratively develop innovative solutions for the sector using artificial intelligence. In the competition, your team will receive a challenge from construction companies, and your task will be to come up with innovative solutions.
The competition is open to all students, regardless of their field of study or level of education.
Registration is open until November 4, 2024.
