Interest towards Metropolia’s English degree programs rose in the national joint application - thank you to all applicants!

The first joint application for higher education in the spring of 2022 ended on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 3 pm Finnish time. According to the initial statistics, almost 4700 applicants submitted to Metropolia’s English Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. The increase in the number of applicants rose by 40 % compared to last year.

“The increase in the number of applicants is delightful. It is likely this reflects the positive outlook towards the future after the corona pandemic. The results also show Metropolia’s increased efforts in international student recruitment and is an important step towards a more international Metropolia”, says Heidi Rontu, Metropolia’s Director of Lifelong Learning.

The most popular Bachelor’s degree programs were Information Technology, International Business and Logistics and Nursing. The most popular Master’s degrees programs were Business Informatics, Health Business Management and Information Technology.

Metropolia also received applicants outside from the EU/ETA countries, especially from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The entrance examinations for the English Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees will be held in February, March and April 2022. The selection results will be published by 3.6.2022 in the Opintopolku.fi service.
