Autumn 2023 joint application period has ended – thank you to over 17,000 applicants!

The autumn 2023 joint application period ended on Wednesday 14 September at 15:00.

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences had a total of 827 starting places on the Arabia, Myllypuro, Myyrmäki and Karamalmi campuses in the fields of technology, business, culture and health care and social services.

Metropolia received 17,151 applicants in the autumn joint application, of which 6,388 were primary addressed to Metropolia. There were over 1,800 more primary applicants compared to the previous year, and the total number of applicants increased by almost 4,000 applicants. The most popular degree program was Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing, aimed at immigrants, with over 6,200 applicants.

Admission process continues to entrance exams

International UAS Exam is a joint digital (online) entrance exam of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS), used for selecting students to study programmes leading to a degree and conducted in English.

The International UAS Exam consists of two phases:

• First phase: written exam 19 October 2023
• Second phase: group interview 8 November - 10 November 2023

The entrance examination assesses the applicants’ abilities to study in universities of applied sciences. The entrance examination does not contain any pre-reading materials or pre-tasks.

Important dates:

• You will receive the admission results on the 24th of November 2023 at the latest.
• Accept your offer of admission before the 1st of December 2023, 3 pm UTC+2.
• Accepting from the waiting list ends on the 12th of December 2023 at 3 pm UTC+2.
