This 2d Game Art Fundamental course will guide you through the whole process of creating 2d graphics for a platformer game from research, concept, creation and implementation into Unity.
The course is broken down to the key areas of

3) Thumbnail Sketching
4) Colour Theory
5) Example Project Breakdown
6) Testing in Unity
The content in the course has been developed by two professional game artists that have worked on over 20 game productions on PC, Mobile and Console.
Learning objectives
After completing the course students will be able to apply a clear workflow to future projects when creating 2d game graphics that include the phases of research, concept, execution and mplementation.
Students will also be able to analyze a 2d background in terms of
value, colour, composition and shape usage.
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of the Photoshop & Unity interface is beneficial.
Teaching methods
100% Online (Self-Study) course. The course is largely video content containing theory, exercises and checklists.
Evaluation criteria
Ability to apply game graphics theory and workflow to graphics in a 2d game template Exam schedule and retests can be find in study environment
