Information on Metropolia's SIMHE activities
SIMHE stands for Supporting Immigrants in Higher Education. The aim of SIMHE is to facilitate the recognition and validation of prior learning of immigrants with higher education and foreign backgrounds, as well as their access to higher education, the completion of their degree and their employment in the Finnish labour market. The activities are supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Metropolia started SIMHE activities in 2016 together with the University of Jyväskylä. Currently, the national SIMHE network includes ten higher education institutions from different parts of Finland.
